Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred says that baseball parks may have to install better safety netting for fans, following a number of incidents where fans were hit by foul balls this season. They also announced their league MVPs for the year, the Washington Nationals’ Bryce Harper became the youngest unanimous MVP in history in the National League, and the Toronto Blue Jays’Josh Dolandson took the American League MVP.

In the NHL, the St Louis Blues beat Buffalo, 3-2 in a shootout.

In Thursday Night Football, the Jacksonville Jaguars beat the Tennesee Titans 19-13 in Jacksonville.

Coming up in sports tomorrow, Iowa Wesleyan faces off against Wayne State in basketball, SCC women’s team takes on Waubonsee (Woah-bon-see), on the High School level, the Fort Madison girls squad takes on Pleasant Valley, Illini West faces Galesburg at the Galesburg Tournament.

In the NBA, the Chicago Bulls will take on the defending champions, the Golden State Warriors tomorrow night.
