Burlington Police have released more information on two unrelated shooting incidents that took place within an hour of each other early this morning.
A press release from the Burlington Police Department reports that the first shooting incident was a drive by shooting that took place around 2:37 am in the 200 block of South 8th street. Police say that 25 year old Dominic Devon Eady of Burlington was shot in the arm during that incident and was eventually airlifted to the University of Iowa Hospitals for treatment of non life threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made in that shooting.
Police say the second incident, which took place at 3:34 am, was likely an unrelated suicide. 27 year old Eric Tusing was found dead at an apartment at 300 Angular Street from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. His body has been taken to the University of Iowa Hospitals for autopsy, but no foul play is expected.
