In College Basketball action Iowa State fell last night at home to West Virginia 81-76 for their sixth loss of the season and 4th in Big 12 play. Plenty of college hoops tonight as Iowa takes on Penn State and SCC has a highly anticipated rematch against Indian Hills after a 43 point loss to them last month at home.
Prep basketball, the BHS girls fell to Muscatine 50-35. 4th ranked Notre Dame girls beat Carinal 87-40. Notre Dame’s boys also rolled over Cardinal 70-35. Central Lee girls beat West Burlington73-55. Van Buren edged out Holy Trinity 53-52. Mediapolis girls beat Wapello 77-42.
In other boys action West Burlington beat Central Lee, 82-57. Muscatine beat Burlington 64-56. Van Buren over Holy Trinity 58-55. Wapello over Mediapolis 56-51. Louisa Muscatine beat Lone Tree 59-48. Illini West over West Hancock 56-30.
NHL last night the St. Louis Blues blanked Nashville 1-0. Chicago Blackhawks beat Colorado 2-1.
