Carol L. (Ireland)  Dillingham, 62, of Denmark, went peacefully to her Lord and Savior at 4:52 AM Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

 

Born October 27, 1953, in Ft. Madison, she was the daughter of Bob and Marjorie Madden Ireland the fifth of nine siblings. She graduated from Ft. Madison High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Alan Brayton, they later divorced.  While working at the Santa Fe Railway, she met and married Jerry P. Dillingham.

 

Carol worked several places, most notably, the Santa Fe Railway, West Point Care Center, New London Farmers COOP in Denmark and the Denmark Office of B&B Propane. She enjoyed working with people, especially “her” farmers. She also enjoyed her quiet time, reading, sewing, crocheting, gardening, and cooking. But, she loved most being on the floor playing with her grandsons and contributing to their orneriness.

 

Carol is survived by her husband, Jerry P. Dillingham; her father of Fort Madison; one daughter, Jeni (Mike) Cave of Moline, IL; three grandsons, Nick, Aiden and Asher; one son, JP (Amy) Dillingham of Milan, IL; two grandcats Bort and Ali; her siblings, Pat (Jim) Delaney, Bev (Mel) Lyttaker, Sylvia (Duane) Thomas, Nancy Douthart, all of Fort Madison, Mike (Donna) Ireland of Cedar Rapids, Jerry (Cheryl) Ireland of Denmark, Kim (Dr. Bob) Irleand-Brockman, and Joe Ireland both of Fort Madison; three sister-in-laws, Nancy (David) Waite of Sammamish, WA, Phyllis (Ron) Feyh of Springfield, MO, Marcia (David) McGee of Valley Center, KS; and several nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her mother, several aunts, uncles, cousins, her father-in-law, J. Paul Dillingham, and one of her favorite grandcats, Emily.

 

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home & Crematory.

 

The funeral service for Mrs. Dillingham will be 10:00 AM Monday, February 8, 2016, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home & Crematory with Reverend Dean Graber officiating.  Cremation will be entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory following the service.

 

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Great River Hospice.

Deleana “Dee” Gonsalves, 37, of West Burlington, died Monday, February 1, 2016, in Burlington.

 

Born December 27, 1978, in Burlington, she was the daughter of James and Sheryle  Dunkin Rouse. On July 10, 2004, she married Renaldo Gonsalves in West Burlington.

 

Deleana was a homemaker.

 

She was a member of the Heritage Baptist Church.  She was someone you could go to. She enjoyed reading, scrap booking, puzzles, attending her children’s sports, and she mostly of all enjoyed her children.

 

Survivors include her husband; her parents, Sheryle (James) Rouse; four sons, Tyson Riles, Elijah Gonsalves, Jayden Gonsalves all of West Burlington, Jaques Kellogg of Saint Petersburg, FL; one brother, Josh Buster of West Burlington; and several aunts, uncles, cousins.

 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and two uncles.

 

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory.

 

The memorial service for Mrs. Gonsalves will be held at a later date.

 

A memorial has been established for her children.

Octavius  Lamar Willform , 24, of Phoenix, Arizona, died Friday, January 22, 2016, at his residence.

Born December 26, 1991, in Burlington, IA, he was the son of Jermain Lamar Willform and Willonda Carrilene Lewis Herrod.

Octavius graduated from Bloomington High School, Bloomington, Illinois. He was a Manager at Journeys in Phoenix then Journeys in Tempe.

He had a great love for music; he learned on his own to play guitar. He had a passion for reading and spent time writing lyrics; he even began to vocalize his lyrics. He was an awesome skateboarder and could perform many tricks including his infamous backflip. Octavius also liked to sketch and was simply a very talented young man. The absolute best part of Tay was that he was the most remarkable, loving, respectful, considerate, son any mother could ask for. Tay was a Christian and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at a very early age.

Survivors include his parents, Willonda Corrilene Lewis-Herrod of Bloomington, IL, father, Jermain Lamar Willform of Burlington, Iowa; Stepfather; Yusef Kareem Herrod of Dunn, North Carolina; Brothers ; Bryant Lewis, Bloomington, IL; Tevin Jones, Arkansas; Sisters; Niani Lewis; Te’a  and DeLacey Herrod, Bloomington, IL; Step-brother; Dominic Goodman, Alton, Il; Step-sisters; Yushira  and Jahari Herrod, Alton, IL; Loving Grandmothers; Rebecca Ann Harmon, Cedar Rapids, IA and Irma Isom, Burlington, IA; Grandfather, Willie Corril Lewis; Aunts; Uncles; and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his Great Grandparent’s, Morris and Lessie Irene Lewis, Sr.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Burlington, Iowa, with Pastors Dana & Jackie Dunson officiating. A time of food and fellowship will be held in the fellowship hall following the service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
