David Allen Eppers, 67 years, of Fort Madison, Iowa died 5:55 pm March 9, 2016 at the West Point Care Center, West Point, Iowa. He was born March 14, 1948 at the Sacred Heart Hospital, Fort Madison, Iowa, the son of Jack and Louise (Robinson) Eppers. He was a Fort Madison High School graduate. He worked over 30 years at Sheaffer Pen. David loved woodworking and his dogs. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Chester and Cora Robinson and his parents.
Graveside committal services will be held 2:00 pm Monday March 14, 2016 at the Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison with Reverend Mark P. Spring as Celebrant. A memorial has been established for P.A.W. Animal Shelter, contributions may be made at the cemetery during the service or at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison. Rex Lee Morris, 72, of Burlington, died at 2:00 am Thursday, March 10, 2016, at his residence in Burlington.
Born July 24, 1943, in Burlington, IA, he was the son of Cecil S. and Violet G. Craig Morris.
Rex worked as a carpenter and a handy man and enjoyed fixing things. He retired from Armor Dial Co. after more than a decade of service there. He worked for many years restoring historic homes in the Burlington area. He enjoyed the social gatherings at his home with his family while watching Fox News.
Survivors include two sons, Chad Ward and Michael Sourwine, both of Burlington, IA; two daughters, Amber Sourwine and Liesa Marie Morris, both of Burlington, IA, two brothers, Cecil Allen Morris of West Burlington, IA, and Garry Sumpter of Burlington, IA; two sisters, Sandra Eisenburger of King City, MO, and Nancy Hull of Burlington, IA; two granddaughters, Amiah Thompson and A’rayah Thompson; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three wives, Kim, Kay and Connie.
The funeral service for Mr. Morris will be Monday, March 14, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Prugh’s Chapel with Pastor JudyAnn Morse officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Barbara Ann Davis, age 65 of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Bonaparte, died Tuesday March 8th in Iowa City.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, March 19, 2016 at Elliott Chapel, New London. Visitation will begin after 9:00 AM with the family greeting friends one hour prior to the service.
