44 year-old Michael Wayne Sistern of Keokuk

A Keokuk man was arrested on Friday, for allegedly manufacturing marijuana and maintaining a drug house.

44 year-old, Michael Wayne Sistern of 1812 Blondeau Street was arrested at his residence on April 29th. He is charged with manufacturing marijuana, a class D felony, drug stamp violation, a class D felony, maintaining a drug house, an aggravated misdemeanor, four counts of possession of a controlled substance, a serious misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

If convicted, Sistern faces up to 16 years and 30 days in a state correctional facility.

Sistern’s arrest stems form an investigation by the Lee County Narcotics Task Force into allegations that he was involved in the use and manufacturing of illegal narcotics in the Lee County area.
