The 21st annual SCC Alumni Association Golf Outing is set for Friday, July 15 at Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.
The best ball event includes free beverages, gifts for every golfer, hole games, hole-in-one prizes – including the chance to win $5,000, a dinner buffet after golf, Birdies for Charity pledges, and a prize raffle.
SCC Alumni Association Executive Director Becky Rump says this is the biggest fundraiser for the SCC Alumni Association. Event proceeds provide for $1,000 scholarships to two graduating SCC students each year, two $500 continuation scholarships to returning sophomores, and $3,000 to fund mini-grants that support instructional programs. Net revenue also funds recognition activities of SCC Distinguished Alumni.
The cost is $75 per golfer or $500 for a tax deductible, sponsored 4-member team. Other options include $250 hole sponsorships which allow a game or product demonstration or give away at the hole, and $100 flag sponsorships.
Additional sponsorships range from $250 to $2,000. Gift donations of goods and services are gratefully received for raffle prizes. All donations and sponsorships are listed in a printed program and on the college’s website.
Lunch is available for purchase at the course beginning at 11:00 a.m. The rain date is August 5th.
