The Burlington Greyhound Baseball team swept Mediapolis 5-4 and 8-0. Wapello over West Burlington 10-6, New London over Danville 6-0.
In Softball, Winfield-Mount Union beat WACO 12-6. 5th ranked New London over Danville 12-2. 14th ranked Louisa-Muscatine beat Highland 4-2. Wapello over West Burlington-Notre Dame 8-1. Pekin over Central Lee 11-0.
At the Midwest League All-Star Game in Cedar Rapids, Burlington Bees Outfielder Jared Foster scored twice off two hits, but it didn’t stop the Eastern Division from beating the West 11-10. Bees return home tomorrow to play Peoria, kicking off the second half of the season.
In the Majors, Cardinals over the Cubs again, 4-3. White Sox over Boston 3-1. Royals fell to the Mets 2-1. Twins over Philadelphia 14-10.
