The Burlington Bees fell at the hands of the West Michigan Whitecaps 8-0 on the road in Grand Rapids last night. They finish their series against the Whitecaps tonight, off tomorrow before heading home Wednesday to face Beloit.

The Cardinals were on the wrong end of a Grand Slam from the Dodger’s Adrian Gonzalez as they fell to Los Angeles 9-6 at home. Anthony Rizzo scored a three-run double in the 7th inning to help the Cubs beat Milwaukee 6-5. Royals dropped a game and dropped below .500 as the defending World Series Champions fell 2-1 to the Texas Rangers. Twins fell to Boston 8-7. White Sox over Detroit 4-3.

Kyle Busch took home the checkered flag in the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis after leading 149 laps.

British cyclist Chris Froome reached the finish line on the Champs-Elysees to conclude the Tour De France yesterday. It’s his first tour win.
