Five young women competed in the Des Moines County Fair Queen Pageant Tuesday evening, and after an evening full of introductions, speeches and entertainment one young women was chosen to wear the crown.
Alizabeth Yotter from Mediapolis was chosen as the 2016 Des Moines County Fair Queen after scoring the highest in the interviewing portion of the competition, she also scored the highest in demonstrating leadership skills.
The Des Moine County Fair continues with FFA and 4-H exhibits and the Bill Riley Talent Show will be held at the Exhibit Hall Stage Wednesday, begining at 7:00 p.m.
