The Burlington Little League All-Star Softball Team took down Russell County, Kentucky’s team, 4-1 in the first round of the Central Regional Little League Softball Tournament in Indianapolis. They take on Webb City, Missouri tonight.
The Chicago White Sox downed the Cubs again in cross-town play, 3-0 last night. The Sox have been on a four-game winning streak since the suspension of ace pitcher Chris Sale over the weekend. The St. Louis Cardinals split a doubleheader with the New York Mets, with the Cardinals taking the first game 3-2, and the Mets winning the second game 3-1. The Minnesota Twins fell to Atlanta 2-0. Royals were blanked by the Angels in a 13-0 loss.
The Burlington Bees are back in action tonight against Beloit. Game starts at 6:30.
