The 6th ranked Holy Trinity Volleyball team downed Danville in a sweep last night. Notre Dame Swept Cardinal. Van Buren took down Columbus, but not easily, with Columbus stretching the match to five games. Wapello beat WACO in three. Winfield-Mount Union beat Pekin in three. West Central over Illini West in two on the Illinois side.
The St. Louis Cardinals beat Cincinnati 4-3. The Chicago Cubs and the Pittsburgh Pirates actually tied last night 1-1–it’s the first tie in the Major Leagues since 2005. Rain forced both teams to stop play in the 6th inning. The Minnesota Twins downed the Kansas City Royals 7-6.
