The Minnesota Vikings were dealt their very first loss of the NFL season as they fell to the Philadelphia Eagles, 21-10. The Kansas City Chiefs downed the New Orleans Saints 27-21.
In prep action, Illini West’s boys won the team title in the Illinois 1A regional cross country meet in Macomb, they had three runners in the top ten. West Central had one runner advance. West Hancock’s girl’s team will advance to state with a 5th place finish.
In NASCAR Sprint Cup action, Joey Logano took the checkered flag at Talladega, giving his team another car in the next playoff round.
In prep volleyball action tonight, Winfield-Mount Union takes on Holy Trinity in the class 1A regional quarterfinals. New London hosts English Valleys. Wapello travels to Tipton in class 2A. Danville takes on Mediapolis. On the College Level SCC will take on St. Ambrose’s JV team.
