It’s been exactly 71 years and 18 days since a World Series game has been played at Wrigley Field, but that record isn’t going any further: the Cubs will host the Cleveland Indians in game three of the World Series tonight, starting at 7:00. The series is tied up at one game each.

The 5th ranked Holy Trinity Crusaders rolled to a three-game sweep over 12th ranked New London in the class 1A regional semifinals. They’ll face 10th ranked Iowa Valley next week in the regional final.

In Hockey action, the St. Louis Blues fell to Detroit in a shootout, 2-1.

The Chicago Bulls opened their season last night. They beat the Boston Celtics, 105-99.

In sports action tonight, Iowa Wesleyan competed in the Augustana Triangular, where they’ll take on Webster University and Simpson college. In class 2A football action, Central Lee will take on Williamsburg.
