Two people were injured during a Saturday morning car accident at the corner of Roosevelt Avenue and Market Street.

The accident report indicates that 19-year-old Chandler Tucker of Lockridge was driving a pickup truck southbound on Roosevelt at around 11:35 am when he ran a red light at the Market Street intersection, colliding with a car driven by 35-year-old Jairo Tejada-Castro of Burlington.

The accident sent the Tucker vehicle airborne, causing it to strike another vehicle, driven by 55-year-old Linda Ruplonger-Buren of West Burlington. Tucker’s truck landed on its top.

Ruplonger-Buren and Tejada-Castro had to be extricated from their vehicles. Both were taken to the Great River Medical Center, but their injuries are described as “Minor”.

Tucker was cited.
