Obituaries Friday February 3rd

Mrs. Doloras Eastin, 88, of Burlington died at 2:17 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Born September 17, 1928 in Pleasonton, Iowa she was the daughter of Ray Everett and Dorothy Lucille (Black) Graves.  She grew up in Leon, Iowa.

On July 24, 1948 she married Lester Forest “Johnny” Eastin in Des Moines.  He preceded her in death on July 28, 2013.

Mrs. Eastin was a homemaker.  She worshipped her daughter and grandson and enjoyed attending his go-kart races.  Her house was always immaculate.  She loved to cook, play rummy, garden and work out in the yard.  She also enjoyed WWE Wrestling, camping, shopping, and garage sales.

Survivors include one daughter, Konnie (Mike) Prehm of Danville; one grandson, Dusty Trail; two sisters, Winona Flahaerty of Fort Dodge and Karen Townsend of Burlington; one brother, Paul (Rodie) Graves of Columbus, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and one sister.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday, February 6th, at Lunning Chapel.

The graveside funeral service for Mrs. Eastin will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 7th, in Long Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Randall Gearhart officiating.

A memorial has been established.
