The SCC Blackhawks fell last night at home against Illinois Central College, 83-78 in college basketball action. The Iowa State Cyclones downed Kansas State on the road, 87-79. Iowa Wesleyan beat Fontbonne 108-82. SCC’s women beat Southwestern, 65-53. Iowa Wesleyan beat Fontbonne in women’s action, 48-44. The Western Illinois women beat South Dakota State 83-77.
In prep action Burlington’s girls beat Davenport West, 56-40 to advance to the Class 5A regional semifinals against 4th ranked Iowa City High. Keokuk beat Fort Madison 67-30. Central Lee fell to 12th ranked Mid-Prairie, 80-54.
The St. Louis Blues beat Detroit, 2-0.
