The PZAZZ! Convention & Event Center housed the Home Show on Saturday, which will continue on Sunday from 11 a.m. — 3 p.m.

Tony Hazell, of Burlington, is renovating his house and found the Home Show to be a good place to discover vendors to help him with the next step in the renovation process.

His sons, Noah, 5, and Jude, 8, took in the colorful aquariums at the Coral Reef booth and considered some new additions of their own.

“[Jude’s] got different ideas every day,” Hazell said of his older son.

Asked to offer decorative advice after taking in the aquarium, Noah thought a big, red fish would add a certain je ne sais quoi. He also has visions of superheroes flying on his walls, which could be made possible after a visit to the Sherwin-Williams.

Sherwin-Williams store manager Katie Brissey listed the more popular products at her store, from creating chalkboard paint, to a germ-killing paint shield, and removable wallpaper, something that is especially useful for tenants. Brissey enjoyed helping guests at her booth learn about the latest trends and found herself answering one common question: When can people begin painting outside?

At her booth, the answer isn’t so simple, because it all depends on the surface of the project.

The spring bug loomed beyond her section.

Brothers Craig Ewinger, of West Burlington, and Mark Ewinger, of Middleton, decided stopping by the home show was a good way to get out of the house on the frigid day. Mark has nine projects in the works.

“I started my winter projects,” he explained, “then that spring weather came for a week, so I worked outside.”

He tossed his hands in the air and sighed, “And now I have spring fever.”
