The Western Illinois women celebrated last night as they were selected for their first women’s NCAA tournament entry in 22 years. The Leathernecks are 14th seed in the Stockton Regional, and they’ll face Florida State on Friday night.
Also celebrating NCAA Women’s tournament bids are Iowa State, Northern Iowa, and Drake University. Iowa will play in the Women’s National Invitation Tournament.
SCC’s softball team notched two wins in Flordia against Kishwaukee, 8-0 and CC Morris 10-2.
In the NBA the Chicago Bulls beat Charlotte 115-109.
In Hockey, the St. Louis Blues took down LA 3-1.
