Council to Tackle Parking, Bond Issue at Monday Meeting

The Burlington City Council is expected to approve $9,555,000 in bonding for the next fiscal year during their Monday night City Council meeting.

The bond funds will be supplied by Bankers Trust Company at an interest rate of 3%.

That bonding is part of an abbreviated agenda that also includes a resolution approving 16 angled parking spaces in the 500 block of Market Street. Harmony Bible Church brought that request in front of the council earlier this month. The parking spaces would be open to the public.

The meeting begins at 5:30 Monday night at Burlington City Hall.
