The Iowa Hawkeye Women’s team continues forth in the Women’s NIT tournament as they took down Colorado 80-62 to move on to the quarterfinal round of the tournament.

In the NCAA basketball tournament’s Sweet 16 round Kansas took down Purdue 98-66. Oregon beat Michigan 69-68. Gonzaga beat West Virginia 61-58.
In preseason baseball, the St. Louis Cardinals beat Miami 5-3. The Chicago Cubs tied with Arizona 5-5. The Chicago White Sox beat Cincinnati 4-2.
The St. Louis Blues beat Vancouver 4-1 in the NHL. The Chicago Blackhawks beat Dallas 3-2 in a shootout.
