America’s favorite pastime kicks off in Burlington next week, as the Burlington Bees open their 2017 season against the Peoria Chiefs at Community Field on Thursday, April 6th.

Bees GM Chuck Brocket and Media Director Michael Brokowski stopped by KBUR’s talk show Wednesday, Brockett told Steve Hexom that the Bees signed a two-year extension with the Los Angelas Angels following last season.

Bees Media Director Michael Brokowski says that they are not sure who will be on this year’s roster yet, “They have redone their farm system a little bit with the last few drafts, we saw that last year with a plethora of top 10 round picks at the end of the year. We kind of have a general idea of who we may see this year, and there are some guys I think the fans will like.”

This weekend the Bees are having an open house on Saturday, which will give fans an opportunity to tour the areas of the field that they normally can’t see, such as the clubhouse, and press box.

The players will be arriving on Monday, and that night at the Pzazz Convention and Events Center the “Meet the Bees” event will take place, where Adam Melhause will introduce this year’s Bees Players.

The Bees regular season opens up next Thursday, there will be a special extended pre-game show on KBUR and Fox Sports 1360.
