Residents in Middletown lost water for a short time earlier this week while workers at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant were working on their water system.
City Clerk Dale Culler says that water went completely out between 3:45pm and 4:30pm on Tuesday.
A spokesperson for the company told the Hawk Eye newspaper that the plant’s water system is connected to the city system and that the outage was a mistake caused when a worker turned the wrong valve.
