The St. Louis Cardinals beat Miami 14-6. Chicago White Sox over Oakland 7-2. Kansas City Royals beat Seattle 3-1. Minnesota Twins over the LA Angels 9-5.
On the prep level, Burlington fell to Bettendorf 5-4 and 4-2.
In softball, 8th ranked Mount Pleasant swept 5th ranked Fairfield 2-1 and 5-0. Washington swept Central Lee 7-4 and 3-2. New London over Mouton-Udell 11-4. Winfield-Mount Union over Keota 12-1.
