Fort Madison Man Could Face 113 Years on Drug and Weapons Charges

A Fort Madison man is behind bars on drug and weapons charges following an arrest Wednesday.

The Lee County Narcotics Task Force says that 42-year-old Tyrone Lee Wilson of Fort Madison was arrested when authorities served a warrant on his residence at 1610 Avenue M Wednesday morning.

Wilson is facing two counts of Delivery of Cocaine, which is a Class C Felony, and Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine While in Possession of a Firearm, both with subsequent offence enhancements. He also faces Felon in Possession of a Firearm charges, and Misdemeanor charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Maintaining a Drug House. In total, if convicted Wilson could face up to 113 years in prison.

Wilson’s arrest stems from an investigation into allegations that he was involved in the distribution of illegal drugs in Lee County, the Narcotics Task Force was assisted by Fort Madison Police, the Lee County Sherriff’s office, Division of Narcotics Enforcement, and the Fort Madison Penitentiary K9 unit.
