The Chicago Cubs finished off their regular season, clearing the benches after five innings in a 3-1 loss to Cincinnati as they prep for the playoffs. The Minnesota Twins stifled Detroit, 5-1. The Chicago White Sox fell to the Cleveland Indians 3-1. The Kansas City Royals fell to Arizona 14-2. Pending free agents Eric Hosmer, Mike Moustakas, Lorenzo Cain and Alcides Escobar were lifted in the fifth inning to a standing ovation in what could have been their final game with Kansas City.
