Sisters Charged in South Hill Fight

Two area women are charged following a large street fight in Burlington’s south hill neighborhood over the weekend.

On October 8th at 4:22 pm, Burlington Police responded to a fight involving several people at the corner of 5th and Maple Streets.

Several women, including sisters 24 year old Tonisha Brown and 20 year old Keneesha Brown, both of Burlington, were seen on a widely distributed facebook video participating in the fight. Weapons such as baseball bats, a hammer, and even a tire iron were used in the melee. The sisters were charged in the fight.

One woman was taken to Great River Medical Center by Ambulance. Another was taken to Great River Medial Center by Ambulance.

Keneesha Brown (DMCCC)

Two sisters were charged in the fight. 24 year old Tonisha Brown of Burlington is facing one count of Willful Injury and one count of Going Armed with Intent. 20 year old Keneesha Brown is charged with two counts of Willful Injury and Going Armed with Intent. Bond for the pair was set at $5,000.
