Obituaries Sunday November 12th

Jeanette Ann DeHaven, age 67 of Pontoosuc, Illinois passed away at 3:30 a.m. Saturday November 11, 2017 at her home. She was born October 11, 1950 in Milan, Missouri, the daughter of Frederick and Lillie Garrett Lumsden. On July 12, 1974, she married Michael DeHaven in Palmyra, Missouri.

Mrs. DeHaven lived most of her adult life in this area, moving to Pontoosuc in 1976. She had been employed at Lamont Limited in Burlington and also at the Riverview Supper Club in Dallas City.
Survivors include her husband, five sons, Shawn DeHaven of Lomax, IL, Chris (Christy) DeHaven of Sterling, IL, Chet DeHaven of Burlington, IA, Ronnie DeHaven and Andy DeHaven, both of Pontoosuc, five grandchildren, two brothers, Randy and Jim Lumsden, both of Fort Madison, IA, and four sisters, Judy Lumsden of Fairfield, IA, and Linda Campbell, Karen Anderson, and Brenda Arnold, all of Fort Madison, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Allen Ray Craig, 81, of New London, died Thursday, November 09, 2017 at home. Visitation for Mr. Craig will begin at noon, Friday at Elliott Chapel with the family present to receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 18th at Calvary Baptist Church, Mt. Pleasant.

June M. Worster, age 73 of Mediapolis, died Friday November 10, 2017 at her home in Mediapolis. The daughter of Russell and Gertrude Irene (Keith) Hackett, she was born June 24, 1944 at Fort Dodge, Iowa. On July 28, 1962 she married Jack Worster at Fort Dodge; he died May 10, 1998. She was a homemaker. She had attended Faith Christian Outreach Center in Mt. Pleasant in years past.
Survivors include; one son, Jon and Becky Worster of Burlington; four daughters, Jacki Harlow of Washington, Iowa; Jeanie and Mike Wyse of Mt. Pleasant; Joani Worster of Mediapolis; Jessie and Jason Philpott of Burlington; 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three brothers.
Cremation has been accorded; A Memorial service will be Tuesday November 14, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Mediapolis, with Pastor Dave Watson officiating. Interment will follow at the Kossuth Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her name to benefit Hospice.
