Billups To Join City Council Monday

The Burlington City Council will swear in a new council member on Monday.

Jon Billups–who recieved the most votes during the November 7th City Council election, will be sworn in at the beginning of the meeting.

Billups, the manager of Bluff Harbor Marina and an account executive at Pritchard Broadcasting, will step in for Becky Anderson. Anderson was serving in the role in a temporary capacity after Tim Scott resigned unexpectedly in August.

The other two winners from the November 7th Election–Lynda Murray and Matt Rinker–will be sworn in in January.

The meeting begins at 5:30 PM Monday at Burlington City Hall.
