WAPELLO — Authorities say no one was injured in the early morning fire at Odessa Wood Products on Friday.
The Hawk Eye reports that a passing motorist called in the fire at the wood product business at 4:48 a.m. Friday.
When Wapello firefighters arrived at the scene, the fire had engulfed the building and spread to two nearby semi-trailers and several large stacks of wood.
Wapello firefighters cleared the scene at 10:30 a.m. and only dealt with minor problems caused by the extreme cold.
Fire crews from Morning Sun and Oakville assisted with the blaze.
There is no damage estimate at this time.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, though it is not considered suspicious.
