The Burlington Police Department has issued a press release identifying the remains of the body discovered at 704 S. Central Avenue on Friday, January 12.
An autopsy was conducted at the University of Iowa Decedent Care Unit where the body was identified as 53-year-old Ricky Dean Wixom. Wixom was a resident of the Central Avenue home.
On Friday, the BPD responded to a call to the man’s residence at 8:17 a.m. where they located his body. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation was called to assist the Burlington Police Department in the death investigation.
The cause and manner of death has not been released by the medical examiner’s office at this time.
