The Fort Madison bridge will be closed to traffic for maintenance Friday morning.
ITC Midwest officials say they will be working on an electric line that runs along the span of the bridge starting at 9 AM Friday morning. Workers will be repairing a lightning arrestor, which is expected to take several hours.
Traffic will be stopped in both directions until around noon.
The bridge connects Fort Madison to Niota, Illinois.
