125 employees will soon be out of work at the Siemens facility in Burlington. The company announced the closure of all Burlington operations, including the Dresser-Rand, Power and Gas and Power Generation Services.
According to company spokesman Andrew Gumbiner, the decision was made to enable Siemens to meet competitive pressure and reduce costs. Gumbiner says over the next year reductions will take place as part of a two phase process.
