The Lee County Attorney’s Office is considering possible charges in connection with vandalism at the Fort Madison High School last weekend.

According to a press release from the Fort Madison Police Department, around 6:00 AM on Monday, School Officials found that the building had been rigged to remain unlocked on Friday. Then over the weekend, 19 seniors that were identified by security video had used toilet paper, vaseline, red bull and other products on the walls, doors, floors and other areas of the building.  The damage is currently being assessed for a cost to repair. Depending on the amount of damage, charges may be filed against the 19 seniors that were involved.
