The Burlington City Council cruised through a light Agenda on Monday.

They voted for final adoption of an ordinance to ease the application process for mobile food vendors. Currently food vendors had to fill out a full application every time they wanted to set up in the city, but now they’ll just have to fill that out once a year and let the city know where they will be set up.

They also approved plans for a $350K repair to the Central and Washington street bridge, approved an encroachment into city land for a building on Jefferson street that wants to build a ramp for the upper floor, and officially rejected $1.5M in grant funding to repair Cascade Bridge. City officials say the city doesn’t have the funds currently to go ahead with the work, which is scheduled for 2024.
