Keokuk Police Investigate A Body Found Wednesday

According to the Keokuk Police Department a body was pulled from the Mississippi River near the water treatment plant on Wednesday.

Keokuk Police Chief Dave Hinton says that the body has been transported to the University of Iowa for an autopsy to positively identify the deceased. According to the chief, the body appears to be a recent death. The investigation will continue. The results of the autopsy could come in as soon as today depending on scheduling at the hospital.
