Busy June For Burlington Fire Department

The Burlington Fire Department surpassed the previous record for the number of call in the month of June. The previous record was 481 calls that was set in May of 2018. In June the department responded to 497 calls, that’s an average of over 16 calls per day. 370 of the months calls were within the Burlington City Limits.

The average response time for all of the departments calls, including those out of city limits was just 6 minutes and 15 second. Nearly 82 percent of the departments calls were emergency or rescue calls in the month of June.
