Friday Fest made a return to the Burlington Rover Front this Friday night. The cloudy sky and rain earlier did not keep people away from the fun.  Three City Council Members made a splash at the event his week as they invited people to “Dunk The Council Member”.  Annie Wilson, Matt Rink and Jon Billups took turns in a Dunk-Tank and the money raised went to local charities.

Matt Rinker was first up and it did not take long for the ball to find the mark and send him into the water. There were a few times when some illegal triggering took place by Jon Billups.

Annie Wilson was next up and drew a good crowd of people wanting to send her into the water. Wilson didn’t seem to mind and laughed her way through several dunkings.

Jon Billups rises from the water after a ball finds it mark.

The king of trash talk of the three was Jon Billups, as he tried to make those trying to dunk him miss the bullseye. His best event aside, Billups found himself climb back up for the next shot a number of times.

The night continued with Classic Rock, Hit’s from the 60″s and 70’s with Fast Forward Burlington live on stage.  The threat of rain and the heat didn’t seem to be an issue for those in attendance.
