Clinton A. Walker, 66, Mt. Pleasant, formerly New London, died Monday, October 1, 2018 at Great River Hospice House.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 October 11 at Elliott Chapel with Pastor Kathleen Moore officiating. According to his wishes his body has been cremated. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for Great River Hospice and New London United Methodist Church. Online condolences may be left at www.elliottfuneralchapel.com.

Judy Arledge Jacobs, 78, of Burlington, died at 9:00 AM Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at the OakView Nursing Home and Rehabilitation.

Born August 15, 1940, in Burlington, Iowa, she was the daughter of Arnold G and Frances Clair Moorman Arledge. On August 27, 1960, she married James Andrew in Burlington, Iowa. Then on March 17, 1995, she married James Andrew again.

Judy was an excellent artist, mostly oil paintings. She enjoyed fishing and riding horses, “she was practically born on a horse.” Judy loved the stock market, golfing and playing cards. Judy liked designing and was the interior designer for her family members homes. She also loved landscaping and even owned a landscaping company, J-Mar Gardens.

Survivors include her husband, James Andrew Jacobs of Burlington; one son, Jeffrey A (Nancy) Jacobs of Sperry, IA; one step-daughter, Sarah Jacobs of Colorado Springs, CO; three grandchildren James, Jessica, and Josie; two brothers, John (Judy) Arledge of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Jim Arledge of Granbury, TX; several nieces and nephews; and her favorite dog Mack.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one step-son, Benjamin Jacobs, one sister, JoAnn Fleming.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 PM Saturday, October 13, 2018, at Prugh-Thielen Funeral Home.

The funeral service for Mrs. Jacobs will be 11:00 AM Saturday, October 13, 2018, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home with Pastor Wally Reynolds officiating. A time of food and fellowship will be held in the community room at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home following the service. Cremation will be entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory following the service. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery at a later date.
