November first America’s Health Care exchange began taking sign-up’s. According to statistics, the sign up is running well behind previous years.
Josh Peck, Co-Founder of The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services says that he believes that people simply do not know that the deadline is fast approaching. He says that thousands of Americans are at risk of not having health insurance in 2019, simply because they do not know that they needed to sign up.
According to statista.com last year 53,217 Iowan’s used the Insurance Exchange, in Illinois 334,979 people signed up for healthcare through the ACA website. Florida was the state with the most people in the exchange, over 1.7 million people got their insurance through the Healthcare.gov website.
The deadline to get insurance through the ACA website is December 15th.
