Catfish Bend Casino is gearing up for the legalization of sports betting in Iowa by teaming with PointsBet to create a new sports bar and betting facility.
A press release says the new facility will be built in the Catfish Bend complex in Burlington, and feature a large video wall that can simultaneously show several sports and betting odds. The release says the new facility will also be non-smoking, and be available to fans and viewing parties whether they are betting or not.
A bill that would legalize sports betting in Iowa has passed the Senate and is set for debate in the House, if it passes there it goes to the Governor’s desk. If signed by the Gov. Kim Reynolds sports betting could become legal on July 4th.
