The Buffalo Tavern’s famous breaded pork tenderloin is up for more recognition, this time being nominated as one of Iowa’s best tenderloin sandwiches by USA Today.
The publication recently launched 10best.com, and one poll is ranking the 20 best breaded pork sandwiches across the state. Currently the Buffalo’s sandwich close to the front of the pack and polls remain open until June 3rd.
The Buffalo’s breaded tenderloin placed in the top five last year when the Iowa Pork Producers Association ranked the sandwiches, although many a Burlingtonian would say they should have won that contest as well.
The “Big Ass” Pork Tenderloin is currently ranked number two in the poll, joined by sandwiches from restaurants in Prairie City, Jamaica, Hamlin, Luther, the Quad Cities, and Des Moines metro, among other areas of the state.
