The Illinois State Police report that a Macomb man has died after suffering serious injuries in a vehicle tractor accident yesterday.
64-year old Timothy Sullivan was taken to the McDonough District Hospital then transported by life flight helicopter to Saint Francis hospital in Peoria with major injuries where he passed away today (Thursday). According to the accident report, Sullivan was on a tractor on highway 67 in north McDonough County when a box- truck driven by 28 year old Greg Jones from Nevada struck the tractor from behind. The tractor was pushed into the median, Sullivan was ejected from the tractor.
Jones was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid and accident.
