WEST BURLINGTON (The Hawk Eye) — A group of people from around the region were out Friday night for a vigil in honor of the Undocumented Migrant Children being detained by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The Burlington vigil was just one of the many similar vigils taking place across the country that night.
Those at the vigil said it was not a political rally, and reports say none of the signs held were political in nature. However, campaign aids from at least three different presidential campaigns were present at the event.
Though the detention of Migrant Children has been highlighted in recent months, the practice dates back to at least 2015 under the Obama administration.
