Friday Afternoon, jurors heard form Evan Laird, the Older Brother of Owen Laird.

Evan Laird’s younger brother Owen testified in the trial of Majestic Malone and Markell Price on Thursday and briefly on Friday. The younger Laird testified that he was present for the majority of the time Breuer was detained by Stanley Baldwin.

But Evan said he was gone for the majority of the time Breuer was assaulted. In fact, Laird said he did not arrive at the house on Acres Street until after Breuer had already been forced to sit on a hill outside the house.

Evan said he left to gather more things when he received a call from his brother asking him to pick up Markell Price. Evan did as asked and when he brought Price to Acres Street when Price and Malone forced Breuer into the upstairs apartment.

After Breuer was assaulted, Evan gave conflicting testimony as to whether his brother came out of the apartment before or after Malone and Price brought Breuer out of the apartment, he wasn’t sure.

Evan Laird also testified Friday that he was told to lie about what had happened to Eddie Breuer by one of the men involved in the death of Eddie Breuer.

According to Evan Laird, he saw Markell Price and Majestic Malone take Breuer up to their apartment on Acres Street. He next saw the two men dragging Breuer’s body down the stairs and threw him on the ground in front of the house.

It was at this point Laird alleged that a cover up began. Laird said Stanley Baldwin, who was also present at the time, instructed Laird’s younger brother to smear blood on his hands and take the fall. Evan was to take Markell Price back to his home and lie about being at the Acres street house. Baldwin left in his white van, taking a metal pipe used to break Breuer’s hand with him and Majestic Malone left in a separate vehicle.

Later Baldwin and Evan Laird would return to the Acres Street house and Baldwin would be wearing different clothing.
