A man accused of sexual abuse has plead not guilty in a written arraignment.
Troy Nelson, of Mount Union, was arrested back in June on five counts of sexual abuse in the third degree, a Class C felony. Each count carries a maximum penalty of five years.
Nelson had been scheduled to appear in court for an arraignment today but opted to file a written arraignment instead. He also opted to waive his right to a speedy trial.
Nelson will be represented by Scott Schroeder, a Burlington Attorney.
