The Burlington City Council has decided it will begin taking steps to have Cascade Bridge removed from the National Register of Historic Places.

Several months ago, members of the Burlington city council agreed that the best course of action would likely be to remove the bridge from the register of historic places to give the council more options.

The council is considering partnering with Impact 7G to work on the various things required to delist the bridge. Some of these things that are required include community and stakeholder meetings. Historical mitigation will also be required.

The council will vote on their contract with Impact 7G next week.
