New Cannabis Dispensary in Former Galesburg Aldi

GALESBURG, Il-   The Old Aldi grocery store in Galesburg has been purchased and will be replaced with a recreational cannabis dispensary.  The Hawkeye reports that Milan-based company Natures’ Treatment has purchased the building with the intent to bring recreational cannabis sales to the Galesburg area.

NTI has purchased the store with the intention of subdividing the space into 3 smaller retail stores.  Two of these stores will be coffee shops, and the third would be a cannabis distribution center.  NTI believes this will create at least 25 new jobs and “generate significant tax revenue for the city of Galesburg in the coming years.”

Legal Cannabis sales begin in Illinois on January 1st for citizens 21 years and older.
