Quincy, Il (WGEM)- Beginning on January 1st, the sale of recreational marijuana will be legal in the state of Illinois, and the city of Quincy has voted to allow dispensaries to operate in their city. Despite the reservations of some citizens, the Quincy city council voted 7 to 5 in favor of adult-use cannabis facilities, with two absent councilmen.
