Burlington, Ia- On Tuesday evening Burlington City Council Chambers hosted a public meeting, providing an update on the status of the TIGER Grant design for Main Street, Jefferson Street, and the Riverfront. Representatives from the consultant team of Veenstra & Kimm and SmithGroup were on hand to give updates on their progress on this project. They Also presented Pre-rendered images of planned designs for renovations to the riverfront, Main, and Jefferson Street. While the project may still be in the design phase, consultants did say their plan is to have a final design submitted to the Iowa Department of Transportation by the fall of 2020.
